No longer something new, a popular scheduling innovation is a work week with four 10 hour days. The problem is that many warehousing businesses need to remain open for five or more days per week in order to provide competitive customer service.
One logistics service provider developed a solution. Every worker has three days off each week, but not always on a traditional weekend. This flexibility allows the 4/10 schedule to function without compromising the operational needs of the warehouse.
Some workers are happy to have a nontraditional three-day break. |
