"The way we do things around here" is a useful definition of culture in a company setting. The example is set by the chief executive.
If you are CEO, are you proud of the way you handle this? If you are not CEO, what do you think of the way it is handled today?
If yours is a learning organization, you should have ample evidence of successful development of key people. Do your people understand just why your company exists? Have you defined the company's core values?
If you don't have quick answers to all these questions, your culture is not well defined.
