People are promoted when they do something well. For example, a freight handler becomes a supervisor because he is a great worker.
Most people who are promoted into leadership positions have never demonstrated any ability to lead. Some are skilled managers, but managing and leading are different things. Inventories, facilities, and budgets are managed.
Those are all different from leading people. |
